Embrace MINIMIZE™ is for anyone with an old scar, more than 6 months old. Embrace MINIMIZE™ can be used by all genders, ages, and skin types.
embrace MINIMIZE™ is intended for use on old, existing hypertrophic and keloid scars from cuts, injuries, or surgeries. Embrace does not treat abraded skin, acne or burn scars.
If you are trying to improve the appearance of an existing scar you’ve had for more than 6 months, then embrace MINIMIZE™ is right for you. If you are looking to treat a newly forming scar that is less than 6 months old, use embrace® Active Scar Defense.
For best results, continue embrace MINIMIZE™ therapy for a full 60 days, which typically requires 2 boxes.
Each box of embrace MINIMIZE includes three 100% silicone dressings, measuring 4.7in each. Each dressing lasts an average of 10 days, and is then discarded.
As every scar length is different, please make sure to measure your scar before purchasing MINIMIZE™. If your scar is longer than 4.7 inches, adjust purchase accordingly.
Initial results can be seen in as early as 4 weeks. Results may vary. People heal at different rates, so for some people, it may take longer than others to see results.
Each silicone dressing measures 4.7in and is designed to universally fit any smaller scar. Simply trim 1 sheet to size and apply.
Refer to the Instructions for Use before trimming.

Side effects are usually mild and can include:
Any surgical tape or adhesive skin dressing may irritate the skin upon removal, depending on your skin’s sensitivity. This redness or slight irritation will typically clear during the 12-24 hour break we recommend between applications. Some irritation and redness is normal around the edges of the dressing. If this happens, reposition it slightly higher or lower to avoid direct contact with the irritation when applying the next dressing. If you are using embrace MINIMIZE after a surgery and your scar starts to open or ooze, or if you have an allergic reaction, remove the dressing and consult your physician. If you have questions or experience any of the above side effects, we can help. Please call 855-NOSCAR2 (855.667.2272) for immediate product support.

We recommend applying at night, at least 2 hours before going to bed. This will provide time for the pressure sensitive adhesive of the dressing to fully adhere to your skin.
Please remove with care, according to the Instructions for Use. Medical grade adhesive is designed to last, so slow, gentle removal is important.
To remove start at one corner/edge and slowly peel the dressing away from the skin while using warm water and soap, or baby oil, or adhesive remover to gently loosen the adhesive.
For sensitive skin we recommend removing embrace® the evening prior to re-application to allow your skin to rest 12-24 hours between applications.
Medical grade adhesive is designed to last, so slow, gently removal is important. Do not pull off quickly as it could cause skin irritation or tearing.
Yes, the dressing is occlusive, which means the dressing is closed over the skin. Your skin is still breathing underneath the dressing and this is how air pockets occur.
After application, a minor wrinkly or wavy appearance in the dressing is normal. Should this happen, apply pressure and hold the affected area to the skin for 30-60 seconds. Use hands and fingers to help smooth out and release any air pockets.
Yes, condensation is completely normal and often occurs after taking a shower or strenuous activity. If the edge of the dressing is not fully sealed and a water pocket has formed inside the dressing, it is time to remove embrace.
When the edges of the dressing begin to lift, this indicates it is time to remove embrace. This typically occurs 7-10 days post application. Follow the embrace MINIMIZE removal instructions and allow a 12-24 hour break before re-applying embrace MINIMIZE.
